My Role: Lead Brand & Web Asset Designer
America 250 at UA is a university-wide initiative commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States and highlighting the University of Alabama’s role in civic engagement, history, and scholarship leading up to the national celebration. The initiative required a cohesive visual identity that could support a wide range of programming and communications across both digital and physical environments.
Working closely with the university’s web team and strategic communications staff, I helped develop the branding and visual assets that support the initiative’s public presence. My responsibilities included creating the visual identity for the program and producing a suite of design assets optimized for use across the university’s website, marketing materials, and print collateral.
The design direction balanced a sense of historical significance with a clean, modern aesthetic that aligned with the university’s brand standards. Assets were developed with flexibility in mind so they could be implemented within existing website templates and responsive layouts while maintaining visual clarity and accessibility.
Deliverables included website graphics, print pieces, and supporting campaign assets used across multiple communication channels. The resulting visual system provides a consistent identity for the initiative as it continues to expand through programming, events, and storytelling leading up to the national celebration in 2026.
