For the Office of the President at the University of Alabama, I designed a premium invitation for guests invited to the President’s Box during football season. The objective was to create a refined, tactile piece that conveyed exclusivity and tradition while subtly referencing the university’s iconic football culture. Rather than relying on overt graphics, the design focused on materiality, craftsmanship, and detail to elevate the invitation into a keepsake-worthy object.
The invitation featured a rich brown, leather-like paper stock that visually resembled a football, complete with white embossed lacing across the exterior and a scripted, embossed “A” on the back. Inside, white embossed card holders, decorated with understated playbook-inspired symbols, held both the invitation and RSVP cards. Through restrained typography, dimensional embossing, and a carefully considered color palette, the final piece balanced luxury and heritage, capturing the prestige of the President’s Box experience while honoring Alabama’s football tradition.
