GRAPHIC DESIGN
ALABAMA
GIRLS STATE

Campaign Branding & Asset Design // Role: Lead Designer

From 2024 through 2028, I am leading the visual identity and collateral design for Alabama Girls State, a flagship summer program hosted by the University of Alabama that introduces rising high school seniors to the principles of civic engagement, leadership, and American government. This week-long immersive event attracts hundreds of ambitious 17-year-old students each year, and my design objective was to create campaign assets that were not only cohesive and functional, but also visually engaging and age-appropriate.

The visual direction embraced a fun, whimsical tone with a bright pink palette, soft illustrative accents, and playful typography to inspire a sense of empowerment and community. Assets included custom-designed t-shirts, program booklets, tote bags, campus signage, digital e-blasts, and oversized building banners, all unified by a vibrant, patriotic theme that balanced elegance with youthful energy. Every touchpoint aimed to create a memorable and welcoming atmosphere, resonating with the spirit of sisterhood and leadership.

THANK A DONOR DAY

Campaign Branding & Asset Design // Role: Lead Designer

"Thank A Donor Day" at the University of Alabama was an event dedicated to expressing gratitude to the university's generous donors. As the lead designer, I created a series of promotional materials to raise awareness about the event, along with customized thank-you pieces to be sent directly to the donors. The designs were crafted to reflect the university's commitment to fostering meaningful connections with its supporters, blending school pride with heartfelt appreciation in both print and digital formats. Through this project, I aimed to enhance the donor experience and highlight the impact of their contributions on the UA community.

ASSURE

Annual Report // Role: Lead Designer

For the 2022 Annual Report of the ASSURE program, the FAA's Center of Excellence for UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Research at Mississippi State University, I designed a sleek, professional report that showcases the program's groundbreaking work in UAS research. The design emphasizes the program’s pivotal role in advancing aviation technology and safety through innovative research led by university experts. Incorporating dynamic visuals, cutting-edge infographics, and a modern color palette, the report presents key findings, milestones, and data in a clear, accessible format. The layout is tailored to reflect the high-tech nature of the program, while also honoring the collaborative efforts of the research team and their contributions to the future of unmanned aviation.

Office of Research and Economic Development

2030 Strategic Plan // Role: Lead Designer

This project involved the complete design and layout of the University of Alabama’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan booklet for the Office of Research and Economic Development. The objective was to create a visually compelling and accessible publication that effectively communicates the university’s research vision, strategic goals, and economic development priorities for the coming five years. I collaborated closely with stakeholders to ensure that the design aligned with the university’s branding while presenting complex information—such as data-driven objectives, thematic research areas, and institutional milestones—in a clear, structured format. The final product features custom infographics, modern typography, and a clean, professional aesthetic that enhances readability and engagement for both internal and external audiences.

THE DAILY RETRO

Branding & Product Design // Role: Creative Director & Lead Designer

At The Daily Retro, I’ve merged my passion for storytelling and vintage aesthetics through a collection of bold, rubberhose-style illustrations that bring humor and attitude to everyday items. This self-owned shop features original designs on t-shirts, hoodies, pint glasses, greeting cards, and more, each piece crafted to spark a smile and a second look. Drawing inspiration from early 20th-century animation, characters like a battered rugby ball declaring “Blood, Sweat, and Beers” and a weary-eyed kettlebell with the caption “I Can’t Afford Therapy” capture a playful tension between grit and wit, fitness and fun.

As the designer and owner, I oversee every step from sketch to storefront. Each product embodies a distinct visual voice tailored to resonate with a crowd that appreciates equal parts nostalgia and snark. Beyond surface-level novelty, the designs aim to create connection through shared struggle, cheeky optimism, and a punch of cartoon absurdity. Whether it’s lifting spirits with a glass or lifting weights with a grin, The Daily Retro serves up functional art with a punchline.
